…nope, I really just can’t leave well enough alone. Tightened up and made a few areas more defined…actually, probably just messier, so good in some places and bad in others. Most significantly, I changed the levels up so now the image is a fair bit more dramatic.

I have a livestream channel, and last night I livestreamed a sketch! (You can watch it here)

Which sounds a bit dirty but in truth, all I did was record a video of me drawing.

Referenced from a photo. My big challenge with this was that I tried to limit it to four values only.

Me being me and nitpicky, I also edited the picture a little bit more after the video stopped and I thought I was done with it. :B As a likeness, I can think of a few things that could definitely use improvement. Otherwise, it turned out okay :)

I forgot I hadn’t posted this. This was the concept art and turnaround for an assignment last year. I still quite like it, and given the chance to do the concept art again, I’d probably do it much the same way. I kept in mind how the model should animate and how I’d like different aspects bits of textures to bleed into each other. It was a lot of fun thinking about how the materials should work.

By the way, long term readers of this blog may have noticed I never posted the final of the firebunny. That is because the final sucked.

Here’s a preview of what I’ve been working on this week…

This’ll be part of the magnificent Beginnings Anthology, a locally produced anthology edited by some lovely people.

This comic was a bit of a change - for one, it’s the first I’ve drawn in a while that was written by someone else! In a lot of ways it pushed me to do new and sometimes terrifying things as well. (For one thing, I’ve never worked on a horror piece before!) Thanks to Rik Lagarto for the script.
