A big episode of Monday night life drawing tonight, to make up for the shorter posts recently.

Follow the cut for a huge mess of life drawing sketches. Last night’s focus for me was smudging the pencils, and carving out highlights with an eraser.
Between homework and painting and ill, I was quite tired by the time I got to life drawing. This session didn’t feel nearly as successful for me, and I was struggling a bit - I can’t even remember which of the above sketches are three minutes, ten and twenty any more! (Although I can make educated guesses)
So at the end of the night when I was showing off my sketches to my extremely patient partner, it was a bit of a surprise to me when he commented on how much I’d done.
This one I was particularly disappointed with, as it was an interesting pose and I just didn’t do it justice.
I try to end life drawing classes on a high, and this was…sloppy, but I’m happy with bits of it. I can also very clearly see where I could have done better.
On to next week!
